Our Vision

Our Vision

Facilitate engagement between faith leaders and climate experts

Global climate action is impossible without engaging faith leaders and communities around the world. This includes prominent religious figures and those at the grassroots level.

FFOP facilitates engagement between grassroots faith leaders and climate scientists across the globe in a bid to convey the urgency of climate action and the religious moral obligation of doing so. We provide local communities opportunities to incorporate their environmental concerns into future policymaking.

Support behavioural change for religious communities

Behavioural change at a societal level is key to successful climate action. This is particularly true in the Global South which bears the brunt of climate change.

To help achieve this, Faith For Our Planet trains religious leaders, equipping them with necessary tools to articulate the scientific realities of climate change to their congregations, communities and followers. Furthermore, FFOP offers religious leaders practical steps and vocational training to support on the ground climate action.

Coalition building between actors in the Global North and South

FFOP facilitates engagement and partnerships between actors in the Global North and South.

All too often, accessing and building relationships with grassroots leaders and opinion influencers in the Global South is a challenging prospect for global climate agencies and development bodies. Yet, developing such partnerships is crucial for effective climate action.

FFOP supports these vital connections through our regional events and seminars, inviting international organizations to engage with local faith leaders and activists.

Training Youth Faith Leaders

The Earth is home to 1.8 billion young people, the largest youth generation in history – making young people key agents of change in the global climate fight.

We educate, train, and equip the next generation of faith leaders on communications strategies. By building a powerful global youth interfaith network premised on climate action, our aim is to convince faith communities of the urgency of climate action.
