Faith at the Frontlines:
Harnessing Religious Leadership
for Sustainable Peace in Africa

Overview:
With a shared commitment to spearhead impactful climate solutions across Africa, Faith For Our Planet (FFOP) and the African Union (AU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in September 2024. This event is a testament to that partnership, recognizing the profound role faith can play in tackling the intricate climate-conflict nexus. By bringing together religious leaders, policymakers, and environmental experts, we seek to inspire not just dialogue but meaningful action—uniting communities, safeguarding the planet, and fostering a just, harmonious future for Africans as they rise to meet the continent’s greatest challenges.
